Sifu Biography
At a young age I always knew I wanted to learn Chinese Martial Arts.
When I was 13 I stumbled upon TAI MANTIS Kung Fu. Run by Grandmaster KAM YUEN I learned that he had done a lot of the fight choreoghaphy for the show "KUNG FU"! Being that it was my favorite TV show I signed up right then! My first teacher there was Sifu ROB MOSES (who went on to be David Carridine's Trainer and fight choreographer) during that time I was also fortunate to learn SOUTHERN 5 ANIMALS from Sifu RICHARD VERA (ARK WONG'S last closed door disciple). I also met and became close with Sifu MANUEL MARQUEZ- who is my Master now.
Along my journey I have been LUCKY to study with Great Masters such as: GRANDMASTER LEE KAM WING(7 Star Mantis) GRANDMASTER WAI HONG (Fu Jow Pai),MASTER WEN MEI YU (Queen of Taijiquan in China), GRANMASTER ZHU TIAN CAI (Sealbearer of CHEN Family Taijiquan), Monks from SHAOLIN TEMPLE
(Shaolin Chinatown Warriors), MASTER BING (Wudang Kung Fu) from Wudang Mountain, GRANDMASTER SEMING MA (Grandson of ARK WONG).
BUT I credit most of what I know to my Master MANUEL MARQUEZ (SHI XENG PENG) Whom without him I would have never even met most of the Greats I have been lucky enough to study with!
It has taken 30 years to get to this moment in time. It would be my pleasure to put my extensive experience to work for you.

Sifu Sam Persons 16 years old
I started my study in Northern Shaolin & Praying Mantis at age 13 under Sifu Rob Moses at Grandmaster KAM YUEN'S TAI MANTIS school in Torrance,CA. There I also studied under ARK WONG'S last closed door disciple RICHARD VERA.

A year later I was asked to take part in the ceremony of "Taking Refuge" in front of VENERABLE ABBOTT. after the ceremony I was later presented with the Buddhist monk name "SHI YAN WEI".

Upon Returning to Shaolin Temple Kung fu School Lomita I began learning Chenjiagou family Taijiquan from Master Manuel Marquez and learning in seminars every year from Grandmaster Zhu Tian Cai (Sealbearer of Family style )
